Coney Island Maybe

hollow empty sound wind through spent eye sockets
empty ears hear lonely dreams
mournful noise the bones of saints banged together
the skull a monument to the past
she that waits and watches
eyes toward the sky
speaks to me in a voice I do not hear
leave me
I scream at her
be gone before I explode
